Today I am happy to welcome SecureKey to Executive Level membership at the Open Identity Exchange and Andre Boysen to a seat on the OIX Board of Directors.
SecureKey has established itself as one of the preeminent companies in the identity space, having operationalized multi-factor authentication at scale. Additionally, SecureKey’s involvement with the Government of Canada’s Cyber Authentication initiative serves as a leading example of public-private collaboration on identity.
OIX had the pleasure of featuring SecureKey and its key public sector counterparts, both from the Government of Canada and the Province of British Columbia, in a roundtable discussion at the OIX-O5 Summit last February in Washington. There, leading industry actors and government officials learned about the early adoption and successful facilitation of online public services to Canadian citizens through the “triple-blind” assurance of SecureKey’s platform. Public-partnerships are often discussed but less often implemented. The SecureKey-Cyber Authentication partnership is one example that the rest of the ecosystem should take note of.
With SecureKey at the leadership table, the Open Identity Exchange expands its growing international reach and adds a wealth of industry expertise from a leader focused—like OIX—on pragmatic engagement.
